Part II is entitled “The Evolving Synthesis” and includes 14 chapters that comprise a conceptual history of the theory of evolution from 1959 to the present. Each chapter includes questions to consider before reading the chapter, a brief introduction, and a detailed presentation and analysis of one of the conceptual or historical aspects of the theory of evolution, followed by questions for further consideration, a list of suggested readings, and a list of recommended weblinks.
