Evolutionary Biology: The Darwinian Revolutions is divided into two parts and a total of 28 chapters. Part I is entitled “The Darwinian Revolution” and includes 14 chapters that comprise a conceptual history of the theory of evolution from ancient Greece through 1959, the centennial of the publication of Darwin’s Origin of Species. Part II is entitled “The Evolving Synthesis” and includes 14 chapters that comprise a conceptual history of the theory of evolution from 1959 to the present. Each chapter includes questions to consider before reading the chapter, a brief introduction, and a detailed presentation and analysis of one of the conceptual or historical aspects of the theory of evolution, followed by questions for further consideration, a list of suggested readings, and a list of recommended weblinks. Evolutionary Biology: The Darwinian Revolutions is also available as a series of recorded lectures published by The Modern Scholar, a division of Recorded Books, LLC.
